Fiorella and Maria win Ladies' Doubles title

Men's Doubles Div. 1

Stephen Ferrante/Samuel Cali continued on their positive run by winning both their matches thus consolidating their third position in the league table. They won their matches against clubmates Arif Rochman/RaguRam Sellakkannu by virtue of a walkover and then struggled to beat Birkirkara pair Albert Bezzina/Ivan Salomone 21-10, 21-19. The Birkirkara pair are therefore still in a position to fight for the runner-up position.

Ladies' Doubles Div. 1

Maria Borg/Fiorella Sadowski won the Ladies Doubles League Div. 1 with a game to spare. Last Wednesday, 9th November, they won both their matches against Shuttles pair C. Spiteri/G. Saliba 21-12, 21-7 and clubmates Marija Attard/Klara O'Berg 21-7, 21-8 to remain unbeaten so far. During the latter match Attard/O'Berg showed a marked improvement on their previous matches. Even though they still have a game to play, Borg/Sadowski are 5 points clear of their nearest opponents. Congratulations to Maria and Fiorella for retaining the title they won last year.
