Individual Mixed League: Important wins for Birkirkara

This week's fixtures saw the leading Birkirkara pairs Stefan Salomone/Fiorella M. Sadowski and Aldo Polidano/Maria Borg in Div. 1 and Stephen Ferrante/Katerina Vella in Div. 2 gaining important points against direct opponents to consolidate their top positions in their respective leagues.

Last Wednesday saw the start of the Individuals Singles event. This year the participants are divided into 6 divisions. A number of Birkirkara players were called to action on this first day of this competition, with Steve and Maria achieving the best results on the day.

Our junior players participated in the National Junior Championships 2011 held on 1st & 2nd November. All our club junior players taking part did their best (for some it was their first competitive experience), and they must be commended for their effort.
