Greenwich end season with full points

In their last match of the season newly-crowned champions Birkirkara Greenwich ended their commitments with full points marking their all-round superiority. This is a credit to the players forming the team - namely captain Stephen Ferrante, Stefan Salomone, Samuel Cali, Fiorella Marie Sadowski, Katerina Vella Ryabkova and Olga Fedoktina - mainly for their hard work and determination throughout the season, but also to Club coach Martin Farrugia who worked patiently not only with this team's players, but also with the whole group of Birkirkara players.

Badders beat Paola Feathers to seal Birkirkara one-two

Birkirkara Badders have defeated Paola Feathers to make sure of the runner-up position whatever happens in the remaining matches. This win enables Badders to finish second to the other Birkirkara team - Greenwich - thus making it a top-two placing for our club.

Matthew Galea wins Division 5 decider

After ending the regular matches in joint first position at the top of the table, Matthew Galea (Birkirkara BC) and Mark Abela (Paola BC) had to battle each other once again to decide which player will come out the winner of Division 5.

Birkirkara Greenwich champions

With their derby win over Badders, Greenwich made sure of winning the 2013 Team Championship, thus retaining the title which our club has won for the last 3 years. With this defeat Badders can only hope of finishing runners-up. They only need a point to make sure of making it a 1-2 placing for Birkirkara.

Badders beat Racquets to hold on to 2nd place

The match between Paola Racquets and Birkirkara Badders was a very exciting and balanced one. Playing without the injured Maria Borg Birkirkara Badders produced one of their best performances to consolidate their runner-up position.

Greenwich close in on title
2nd June 2013
When play resumed in the Mixed Team League, Birkirkara Greenwich continued with their unbeaten run defeating Paola Feathers away 5-0. This was an easy win for Greenwich which kept them on the trail of the title.

Individual League comes to a close

The regular matches of the Individual League have come to a close last Wednesday, with Birkirkara topping Divisions 1, 4 and 5.

Stefan and Jesmond win the Singles 1st and 4th Division

The Individual Singles League is nearing its end and with it a number of titles for Birkirkara. Stefan Salomone has claimed the 1st Division title with 2 games left to play, whilst Jesmond Galea managed to surpass teammate Edward Grech to claim the 4th Division title. Matthew Galea also managed to top his division together with Mark Abela, thus forcing a decider.

Another two wins for the two Birkirkara teams have put Greenwich and Badders in 1st and 2nd place respectively, thus highlighting the superiority of our club. Of particular interest this week was the clash between the Badders and Paola Feathers.

The Mixed Teams League resumed last Thursday with both Birkirkara teams playing on home soil. Greenwich faced the young talent of Paola Racquets, whilst the Badders played against Shuttles BC.

Greenwich beat Paola Feathers to consolidate top position

Birkirkara Greenwich emerged winners in their direct encounter against Paola Feathers. With this win, they not only remained unbeaten but also consolidated their top placing.
